Who we are
My Name is Mitch.
Ever since I was a kid, turtles have always been one of my favorite animals. I remember going up north with my family, searching ponds and woods for reptiles, and feeling especially excited whenever I found turtles. I loved visiting pet stores and reptile shops, even though they only had a limited variety of species.
When I was a young teenager, my parents decided to landscape the backyard and include a koi pond. I took a chance and asked if I could add a small turtle pond as well. To my surprise, they agreed—as long as I paid for it and maintained it. I started with a few regular Red-Eared Sliders from the local pond store, but I quickly realized there had to be more unique turtles out there than what I was seeing in shops.
One day, while visiting an aquarium shop, I saw a poster on the wall titled Turtles of the World. My attention was immediately drawn to an Albino Snapping Turtle. That moment sparked my curiosity, and I began researching different turtle species, including rare ones like the Albino Snapper.
After months of searching, I discovered an incredible variety of turtles, including albinos and other morphs. From that point on, I was determined to learn everything I could about them and start my own collection. What began with just a few tanks eventually expanded into an entire building dedicated to housing different turtle morphs, some of which I’ve worked to breed myself.
