Charcoal Red Ear Slider

Charcoal RES (Red-Eared Sliders) are commonly referred to as the American line melanistic morph. As a melanistic type, they lack colors and patterns, essentially appearing as black, patternless turtles with black eyes. Some Charcoals may show minor head or shell patterns in certain areas, and their coloration can vary as they grow, ranging from dark charcoal grey to, in some cases, a very dark brown.
